2017-18 Adirondack Thunder Game Night Interns – October 2017 through the 2017-18 season
 

Located in Glens Falls, NY and playing at the Glens Falls Civic Center, the Adirondack Thunder, ECHL, are seeking talented individuals to join their Game Night staff.
 

The primary function of the Game Night team is to support the Director, Game Operations and the Thunder staff in executing all in-game activities. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Interacting with fans, preparing giveaways for in-game use, completing all of the game night setup and breakdown, and facilitating crowd interactive activities and promotions. The successful candidates will act as promotional and goodwill ambassadors for the Adirondack Thunder Hockey Club. Other duties as assigned.
 

Our Expectations: Excellent customer service skills and a basic knowledge of hockey, sports, and/or entertainment. Must be reliable, honest, and have strong communication and interpersonal skills. Must have the ability to move Game Operations inventory and be on your feet for extended periods of time. Candidates must be able to work most Thunder home games including nights, weekends, and some holidays.
 

Essential Duties:

  • Assisting the Director, Game Operations before and during all Thunder home games in presenting and executing a high level, high energy game experience that is memorable for fans
  • Following game scripts accordingly. Must be responsible, professional, and punctual
  • Supporting the execution of the game presentation, including selling programs, yearbooks, etc., and assisting with in-game promotions such as Chuck-A-Puck, raffle programs, and more
  • Participating in on-ice entertainment and media break activities such as t-shirt tosses
     

Qualifications, Skills, and Requirements:

  • This internship is unpaid. Applicants must be able to receive course credit. Will be provided with a pregame meal, parking, and two (2) tickets per game
  • High School and College students are welcome to apply
  • Outstanding customer service skills are a must. Interns will be representing the Adirondack Thunder organization on a nightly basis and must conduct themselves in a manner accordingly
  • Must be able to commit to most, if not all, of 36 Thunder home games

Marketing, Sales & Game Operations Internship - Fall Term - Cincinnati Cyclones and U.S. Bank Arena (Cincinnati, OH)

The Marketing & Sales internship program with the Cincinnati Cyclones and U.S. Bank Arena is a hands-on program assisting the Marketing and Sales departments in responsibilities regarding advertising, public relations, promotions and sales efforts for all events at U.S. Bank Arena. This includes games for resident hockey team the Cincinnati Cyclones, concerts, family events and even some local club shows promoted by Nederlander Entertainment. Interns will assist with projects pertaining to these aspects of our organization to increase ticket sales, awareness of events and overall implementation of marketing and sales efforts.

The internship program is primarily compiled of, but not limited to three areas of work including sales and promotions preparation in our offices at the arena, grassroot promotional efforts around the city and near your educational institution, and game day operations experience.

Game day is a high-energy environment. The best candidates for this internship will be able to learn and adapt quickly, multitask effectively, communicate clearly, keep a high level of positive energy, and show an overall passion for the industry and our brand.

Assigned tasks may include:
• Compiling information for our advertising campaigns
• Assist in the creation and implementation of promotional plans for upcoming events
• Grassroots Marketing
• Qualifying sales leads
• Database management
• Working events to ensure proper implementation of promotions and sponsorship fulfillment.
• Developing and distributing flyers, posters and other promotional materials to locations around Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky

Position Overview:  The Jacksonville IceMen are looking for highly motivated, energetic, and outgoing individuals for a passion in sales and marketing to assist their Sales & Service team.  The ticket sales internship will provide a hands-on learning experience for those eager to obtain a position in the industry focusing on ticket sales.

Responsibilities:

The Reading Royals are looking for outgoing, energetic and creative individuals to be a part of Game Day team. As a Game Day Intern, you will play an active role in assisting full-time staff in assuring all details pertaining to game day are carried out in a professional and smooth manner. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: greeting fans pregame, handing out programs, selling 50-50 or chuck-a-puck raffles, participating in community events, assisting the MC and executing in-game promotions. Game Day Interns must be comfortable and thrive on fan interaction and be able to work the majority of Royals home games for the entirety of the 2017-2018 Season.

Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must be able to receive college credit
  • Must be innovative and be self-motivated to complete tasks
  • Must be able to express enthusiasm for the sport and the fans

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to attend the majority of Royals home games for the entirety of the 2017-2018 Season including playoffs.
  • Schedule runs from late September through April, plus playoffs.
  • Pre-game arrival is 3 hours before puck drop.
