The Jacksonville Icemen are seeking a Corporate Partnership Intern. This position will report directy to the VP of Corporate Partnership. This is an un-paid position but can be used for college credit. The internship will run from May 15th, 2017 to the conclusion of the 2017-2018 Season (May/June 2018)

Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following:  (Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs)

  • Prepare fulfillment letters, proposals and end of year recaps
  • Assist in planning sponsor related game day events/give-a-ways
  • Assist in coordinating sponsor related promotional events and projects
  • Assist in planning and schedule Player and Coach Appearances
  • Member of game day staff
  • Assist in ordering season, single game, post season tickets for sponsors
  • Prepare internal forms for ticketing and accounting
  • Work with Special Events/Community Relations to coordinate various events
  • Schedule, coordinate and deliver tickets/credentials to sponsors
  • Coordinate any special projects for sponsors

Position Overview:  The Jacksonville IceMen are looking for highly motivated, energetic, and outgoing individuals for a passion in sales and marketing to assist their Sales & Service team.  The ticket sales internship will provide a hands-on learning experience for those eager to obtain a position in the industry focusing on ticket sales.

Responsibilities:

  • Season and group ticket sales through outbound phone calls and e-mail communication
  • Retention of season and group ticket clients through outbound calls, e-mail communication and in-person meetings
  • Answer incoming sales/customer service phone calls relating to season ticket packages, group ticket outings and general arena information
  • Provide excellent customer care during phone, e-mail and in-person interaction with IceMen clients and fans
  • Provide first class service for premium seating clients on game days
  • Work cohesively with members of the sales and ticket operations department to reach sales goals and fulfill customer service requests
  • Develop, manage, and execute large-scale projects and events
  • Research sales & marketing initiatives to develop programs for the IceMen
  • Assist with set-up, execution and completion of all game day and community events
  • Development, evaluation and execution of various marketing initiatives (grassroots, online, etc.)
  • Perform all other responsibilities and duties as assigned 

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a Business, Marketing, Sport Management or related field of study
  • Strong understanding of MS Office Applications
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects/tasks of varying complexities, meet deadlines and work well under pressure
  • Ability to work as an effective team player, as well as independently
  • Must be available to work days and evenings as well as certain weekends and special events as needed.
  • Must be able to commit to a minimum of 20 hours per week

The Reading Royals are looking for outgoing, energetic and creative individuals to be a part of Game Day team. As a Game Day Intern, you will play an active role in assisting full-time staff in assuring all details pertaining to game day are carried out in a professional and smooth manner. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: greeting fans pregame, handing out programs, selling 50-50 or chuck-a-puck raffles, participating in community events, assisting the MC and executing in-game promotions. Game Day Interns must be comfortable and thrive on fan interaction and be able to work the majority of Royals home games for the entirety of the 2017-2018 Season.

Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must be able to receive college credit
  • Must be innovative and be self-motivated to complete tasks
  • Must be able to express enthusiasm for the sport and the fans

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to attend the majority of Royals home games for the entirety of the 2017-2018 Season including playoffs.
  • Schedule runs from late September through April, plus playoffs.
  • Pre-game arrival is 3 hours before puck drop.

PART TIME

The Reading Royals, a Philadelphia Flyers ECHL affiliate, are a driven, energetic team who are constantly striving to create the best fan experience both on and off the ice. We’re in search of college or graduate students with the right combination of initiative, people skills, and marketing savvy to help us grow. In this Internship you will be working directly with the Community Relations Manager to help create a positive and friendly image within the community.  As one of the summer interns, you will have the opportunity to rotate throughout each department working on creative initiatives, marketing campaigns, and participating in community outreach efforts.

• Help maintain and development a company brand through community engagement

• Perform as the Reading Royals Mascot "Slapshot" for select community events
