RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Execution of the pre-determined annual and event marketing plans which include but are not limited to -

  • Working with Management to develop and execute a strategy to maximize fan engagement throughout the region.
  • Directly execute the web, digital and social activities of the team. 
  • Produce content for team website and all social channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat) to ensure consistency of voice.
  • Execute email marketing campaigns using team licensed software (Bronto) to include content creation, analyzing and leveraging campaign results, management and accuracy of marketing database and distribution of data to Director of Ticket Sales
  • Develop, create and produce digital advertising campaigns to including monitoring results and adjusting strategies to for optimum efficiency and results.  
  • Manage the development and execution of special events to achieve key short and long term brand goals (open house events, season ticket holder functions, cause marketing events such as diabetes awareness night, etc.)
  • Assist with the production of all in-house publications including ticket and group flyers, promotional events, etc.
  • Perform other operational duties as assigned.

 Qualifications include –

  • Experience with database marketing, social media execution, graphic design, website management and maintenance preferred.
  • Through knowledge and demonstrated ability with Adobe design software, Javascript and HTML/CSS.

Mascot Entertainer - Atlanta Gladiators (Duluth, GA)

Description: The Atlanta Gladiators are currently recruiting highly energetic individuals to perform as the team mascot. Duties: We are looking for energetic individuals with the ability to entertain a diverse audience to serve as the Gladiator’s Mascot. It is preferred that applicants be adept at skating, or possess the ability and desire to learn. Applicants will be responsible for entertaining thousands of fans at Gladiator’s home games. Applicants must be able to work a flexible part-time schedule covering 36 game nights and weekends from Mid October to Mid April plus the potential for additional playoff games in April and May. Masacot will also be needed for community events as well, depending on availability. It is preferred that applicants work all home games to be considered for employment, however circumstances may dictate that other arrangements be made if unable to perform duties for every game. Individual will need to arrive up to 1 hour before the doors open. Length of time working will depend on the particular game night, but most require the employee to remain anywhere from 30 minutes until one hour after the game concludes. PLEASE BE ADVISED: Game nights can go as late as 11:00 pm. Compensation: Mascot will be compensated based on experience and will include Community appearances as well TBD. Accountability: A schedule will be provided for the Mascot. Any changes that need to be made at the time of schedule publishing will be accommodated. The Director Community and Youth Hockey Relations needs to be notified of any other schedule changes NO later than 48 hours in advance of the game.

Part-Time: Mascot Handler - Kansas City Mavericks (Kansas City, MO)

The Kansas City Mavericks are members of the ECHL—the Premier ‘AA’ Hockey League in North America. Founded in 2009, the Mavericks are entering their ninth season in team history at Silverstein Eye Centers Arena and first season after rebranding to the Kansas City Mavericks. The Mavericks won the Brabham Cup after posting a league-leading record of 52-15-5 during the 2015-16 ECHL season and have been honored with multiple community and league awards including the Harry S. Truman Special Community Service Recognition Award, and the CHL Franchise of the Year Award for four consecutive seasons. 

The Mavericks are seeking energetic individuals to join the staff in the role of Mascot Handler. This individual will have a self-motivated attitude, and desire to represent the Mavericks brand to the highest standards. 

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

•             Ability to work all Mavericks home games -- both as a mascot performer, and mascot handler                             (October-June)

•             Perform as the mascot for community appearances and corporate functions on a regular basis

Ideal candidate will:

•             Have an outgoing personality. Willingness and desire to perform as mascot

•             Prior performance experience strongly preferred

•             Local candidates preferred

•             Ability to ice skate, or willingness to learn to ice skate

The Worcester Railers HC of the ECHL are seeking an enthusiastic, outgoing mascot performer to provide high-energy fun and entertainment as the team’s mascot, TRAX, during all 36 regular season home games as well as any additional post season playoff games. Candidates must possess the following attributes:

  • Have a minimum of one year experience as a mascot

  • Be committed to work all 36 home games

  • Be available and willing to work evenings and weekends

  • Be athletic and physically fit

  • Must have experienced ice skating skills

  • Must be able to work in a costume

  • Must be able to communicate nonverbally and create spontaneous crowd interaction

  • Must have a great sense of humor and enjoy interacting with others

Mascot duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform as TRAX at all 36 Railers HC home games

  • Entertain fans during games with constant interaction

  • Attend all internal meetings as required
