Parking Attendant - Adirondack Thunder (Glens Falls, NY)

Located in Glens Falls, NY and playing at the Glens Falls Civic Center, the Adirondack Thunder, the ECHL Affiliate of the Calgary Flames, are seeking Parking Attendants for the 2015-16 season.
 

Qualifications, Skills and Requirements
 

- This position is paid on a per-game basis at $25 per game. Time worked will be two hours before each game. Will be provided with two (2) tickets for the game worked.
 

- Parking staff must be able to responsibly handle and count cash transactions and complete necessary sales recognition forms.
 

- Must be able to commit to 35 Thunder home games.
 

- Need to provide your own transportation to and from all games. Parking will be provided.

Marketing Manager - Allen Americans Professional Hockey Club (Allen, TX)

Reports to CEO

Position Summary: The Marketing Manager primary role is to provide creative and production support to the Ticket Sales and Sponsorship Sales staffs. A secondary role is to be the primary contact for the team’s digital and social marketing relationships and partnerships.  

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

The Manager will be an integral part of the Game Entertainment, Ticket Sales and Sponsorship Sales Departments.

·        Creative and graphic design leader of print, web and other Allen advertising pieces

·        Design and coordinate production of Allen Ticket Sales collateral materials

·        Design and coordinate production of Allen Sponsorship Sales collateral materials

·        Design and coordinate production of Allen dasherboard and in-ice logos advertising

·        Lead creation of a standard Sponsorship Deck that will serve as the template for use across all three teams 

·        Generate custom creative work for all digital, social and video needs of the business, including design and layout for e-newsletters, websites, social media graphics, and video.  

  • Primary Interface with Atomic (Allen’s Web site provider) Allen Event Center, etc. to keep the Americans digital and social platforms up to date with new content that is focused on selling tickets Create graphic design elements for e-newsletters, websites, social media and special events
  • Use Adobe Creative Suite and Final Cut Pro to generate custom videos for use on social media, websites, highlight reels and special events
  • Responsible for editing and creating highlight reels at the end of each game
  • Work within a team environment to achieve common team goals

·        Other duties as assigned, including but not limited to:

o   Work with coach and CEO to upload player payroll, book travel for team

o   Invoice corporate sponsors, and ticket accounts that may require it

o   Maintain office supplies inventory and coordinate reorder with CEO 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum 1-3 years of proven graphic design experience and event management in the sports or entertainment field
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and oral, and interpersonal skills to manage and work well with different personalities
  • Creative, energetic and proactive mentality
  • Highly organized, quick learner and ability to multitask and prioritize to meet deadlines
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe Production Suite and Final Cut Pro
  • Ability to learn and master new software programs as necessary
  • High level of demonstrated professionalism and integrity

Marketing: Mascot
Backup Character Performers - Toledo Walleye (Toledo, OH)

The Toledo Mud Hens and Toledo Walleye have four great characters: Muddy, Muddonna, Spike and CatTrick! Our character performers portray specific costumed character roles at Toledo sporting events and appearances in the greater Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan communities. A love of dancing and “clowning around” is a must!  

Due to the extensive number of mascot appearances that are scheduled on an annual basis, we are looking for performers to fulfill a backup role when our main performers are unable to attend events. 

Description:                            

-Backup performer for home games for the Toledo Walleye Hockey Club and the Toledo Mud Hens Baseball Club.

-Backup performer for community and team appearances as scheduled by the supervisor.  This includes but is not limited to sponsors, charities, media, and private functions.

-Portray a positive image in the community representing the team and the organization at all times

Qualifications:

1) Ability to troubleshoot situations without delay and act accordingly

2) Strong communication skills, both verbally and non-verbally

3) Ability to analyze and interpret common social expressions  

4) Must be well organized and able to meet workload demands

5) Must be able to lift approximately 50 lbs. / Superb physical condition

6) Must be able to work extended amounts of time in costume

7) Friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing & interacts well with others, especially children

8) Responsible and reliable

9) Ability to work independently and as a team member

10) Flexible Schedule is necessary! Performers are required to work events at all different time periods on a weekly basis

11) Must be able to perform mascot duties in a professional and appropriate manner according to company policies and procedures

12) Previous mascot experience is strongly preferred, but not required. Skating experience is preferred, but not required 

**Schedule would vary based on the time of year and our performers' schedules. Office hours are not included.

Position Summary: The Graphic Designer is responsible for generating custom creative work for all digital and print needs of the Tulsa Oilers, including design and layout for e-newsletters, websites, social media graphics, and sales collateral pieces.

  • Proofs all materials in an accurate manner, delivering high-quality, on-time and error-free drafts
  • Communicates with outside print vendors, relaying specifications for production
  • Assist in updating social media accounts
  • Work as an integral part of the marketing department
  • Work within a team environment to achieve common team sales goals
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum 1-3 years of proven graphic design experience preferably from a sports and entertainment entity

Community Relations Coordinator - Utah Grizzlies (West Valley City, Ut)

FUNCTIONS:
 

The Utah Grizzlies Community Relations Coordinator is responsible for scheduling, managing, and carrying out the community relations activities of the Utah Grizzlies. As a central part of our team, the Community Relations Coordinator will be responsible for all staff, mascot, coach, and player appearances as well as creating positive relationships with not-for-profits. The Community Relations Coordinator must be a cheerful, positive, hardworking and mature individual who is passionate about youth and community engagement!
 

RESPONSIBILITIES:
 

• Seek out community events where the Grizzlies can be represented by the mascot, team staff, coaches, and/or players. 
• Work with the mascot, Grizzbee, to coordinate and execute effective mascot appearances. 
• At times perform the mascot duties.
• Work with the Grizzlies coaching staff to coordinate and execute player appearances. 
• Facilitate and oversee Community Relations donations to local groups and charities. 
• Work with ticket sales team to generate fundraiser ticket sales through community partnerships.
• Help create and execute the Community Relations business plan. 
• Attend all Grizzlies events and games. 
• Ability to generate new ideas and methods to increase efficiency of the Community Relations departments. 
• Assist the Grizzlies sales team with other duties, as required.
• Must be able to multi-task and prioritize.
 

REQUIREMENTS: 
 

• Able to work a 40 hour week in this office, plus all home games and other outside events. Must work flexible hours to include business work week, nights, weekends and holidays.

Marketing: Game Operations/Presentation
Director of Game Operations/Graphic Designer - Wichita Thunder (Wichita, KS)

The Wichita Thunder is seeking an energetic, professional, and self-motivated person who has a passion for sports and graphic design.  The Thunder play at the $220M facility INTRUST Bank Arena – the nicest facility in the ECHL.


The primary function of this position is to produce the strategic plans and oversee the execution of game-day presentation in coordination with the management group, as well as all graphic design work for the Thunder. This position will also be responsible for working with all advertising partners to ensure proper and timely messaging is delivered.


Summary of Essential Job Functions:

·         Manage and execute the game-day strategy

·         Coordinate the development of in-game promotions

·         Develop game-day script, video and music, including all Video board/LED Ribbon board graphics and                        commercials

·         Oversee and execute the game-day production

·         Effectively communicate the brand values of the Wichita Thunder

·         Coordinate all corporate requirements for successful game and promotion presentation

·         Design all corporate proposals and fulfillment packages

·         Work with the Sales Team to ensure all groups and experience packages are managed properly

Desired Qualifications:

·         Bachelor’s degree
