Sports Account Executive - Brampton Beast Hockey Club (Brampton, ON)

Brampton Beast:

The Brampton Beast are the newest professional hockey team in Canada. After playing their inaugural season as a member of the Central Hockey League (CHL), the Beast are now members of the ECHL after the two AA leagues merged in early October, 2014. The Beast play their home games at the Powerade Centre located in Brampton, Ontario. The team is dedicated and devoted to serving the community while continuing to advance the sport of hockey by providing exciting sports entertainment for a growing fan base. Volunteer, internships, employment opportunities, player career development, youth programs, and small business partnerships are all aspects of the business that the Brampton Beast sustain.

  

Account Executive:

The Brampton Beast Hockey Club is scouting for a Full-time, Account Executive with sales experience to prospect and generate revenue through the sale of all ticket packages, while providing superior customer service to all customers of the organization. Qualified applicants should be well-organized, team players with the ability to handle multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment. Heavy telephone and in-person contact with the public requires excellent interpersonal communication skills.

  

Job Responsibilities:

      -   Responsible for generating the maximum revenue for the Brampton Beast through the sale of season, group, and partial ticket plans

      -   Proficient in all Brampton Beast product lines including season plans, partial plans, premium seating, group packages, and special events

      -   Full participation in extensive inbound/outbound call campaigns for the purpose of selling season, group, and partial tickets

      -   Responsible for managing and servicing assigned account bases with the intent to up sell and renew account bases on an annual basis

      -   Proficient in prospecting and creating new sales opportunities for the purpose of increasing revenue

      -   Responsible for networking with corporate and community groups for the purpose of selling applicable inventory

      -   Responsible for follow up phone campaigns involving team direct marketing campaigns

      -   Providing outstanding service to all incoming customer emails, phone calls, faxes, etc.

      -   Meet all pre-determined activity and sales goals by providing weekly sales reports to management

      -   Be present at community events that the team has a presence at

      -   Participate in game day operations and community involvement to assist in building the organization's brand

      -   Make a minimum of 60 outbound sales calls per day

      -   Other duties assigned by supervisors

  

Job Requirements:

      -   Post-Secondary Degree/Diploma (a focus in business and/or sport & event marketing preferred)

      -   Desire to develop a career in the sports/sales industry

      -   Previous ticket sales experience in the sports industry

      -   Passion for sales and relationship building

      -   Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

The Orlando Solar Bears are seeking a passionate, dedicated, and self-motivated sales executive to join their group sales department. The ideal candidate must have one to three years of past experience in sales with either a professional or collegiate sports team, an unparalleled work ethic, and the ability to create new business.

Job Responsibilities

• Directly report to Vice President of Group Sales

• Generate group ticket sales revenue for the Orlando Solar Bears

• Meet or exceed weekly and monthly ticket sales goals for the Orlando Solar Bears

• Assist with game day promotions and special events as needed

Required Skills

Group Sales Manager - Reading Royals (Reading, PE)

Group Sales Manager

Department: Ticket Sales
Reports to: President
Type: Full-Time, Salaried, Exempt
Location: Santander Arena, Reading, PA

Summary: The Group Sales Manager is responsible for daily operations, including sales calls, making client appointments and achieving sales goals.  To manage, supervise and coordinate the activities and operations of the Reading Royals Group Sales Department; to schedule and book groups for all facility events; and to provide highly responsible staff assistance to higher-level management staff.

Qualifications:
- Degree preferred, equivalent work experience will be considered
- Minimum 2 to 4 years sales management experience preferred
- Strong management, motivational and organizational skills required
- Previous sales experience is strongly desired
- Exemplary customer service skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
- Ability to handle and return a high volume of inbound and outbound phone calls
- Must have a focus on training and leading a sales team
- Ability to travel as required
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule including long hours, nights, weekends and holidays

Job Functions:
- Manage and participate in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies and priorities of all Group Sales programs and activities

Intellectual/Social demands:
While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is continuously asked to multi-task under time limits. Position requires constant attention to precise details and accuracy of specified standards including: following simple to complex (more than 3 steps) instructions, and concentration which frequently extends beyond 30 minutes at a time.

This position also requires constant use of interpersonal skills including but not limited to: ability to inform staff and foster collaboration, being able to recognize and resolve conflicts, being able to openly communicate in writing and verbally with clients.

Physical demands:
 While performing the essential functions of the job, the employee constantly operates a computer and other office devices such as telephones, copy machines, fax machines, etc; occasionally moves about inside the office to access storage areas, cabinets and office machinery; occasionally moves about the facility to service clients; constantly communicates via telephone, email and in-person with others to exchange accurate information. Seldom lift/carry up to 50 lbs of files, office machinery, etc.

Work environment:
The essential functions of this position are performed indoors. The noise level in the work environments can range from minimal to loud during events, depending on the incumbent’s location, and minimal during non-event times.

Account Executive - Stockton Thunder (Stockton, CA)

The successful candidate will be fully trained in consultative selling (i.e., needs satisfaction model) and will have the opportunity to sell all Stockton Thunder ticketing products, including annual suite licenses, single game suite rentals, club seats, full and partial season tickets and groups. This is an exciting opportunity to work with one of the premier ECHL franchises in a role that is critical to the continued success of the organization.

DUTIES:
• Responsible for the direct solicitation of ticketing products to both corporate and consumer accounts.
• Sell and service new and existing ticketing accounts.
• Aggressively develop and expand relationships with clients and organizations through cold calling, networking, and outside appointments.
• Assist with client customer service, database development and game presentation.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Reports to the Vice President, Ticket Sales.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Previous ticket sales experience with a professional sports organization.  Business-to-business sales preferred.
• Passion for sales and specifically a desire to share your passion about Thunder hockey with those you speak with in person or over the phone.
• Must demonstrate a high degree of time management, attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft products and experience with contact management software.
• Energy, a positive, professional attitude and ability to learn quickly.
• Must be willing to work long hours year round.
• Excellent verbal and written skills.
• Must be a self-starter and team player.

Season Ticket and Group Sales Consultant - Toledo Walleye/Toledo Mud Hens (Toledo, OH)

Summary of Responsibilities:

A Season Ticket & Group Sales Consultant is directly involved with the sale of tickets.   He/she uses planning, organizational and people skills to prospect and achieve season ticket, group ticket, individual ticket and catering sales goals as established by the Assistant General Manager - Ticket Sales & Operations and the Director of Ticket Sales.

Functions:

- Reach personal sales goals as established by the Assistant GM and Director of Ticket Sales.

- Plan, organize and manage personal sales goals and help the ticket department achieve its goals.

- Make outgoing calls and contacts in order to generate new sales and attract new companies/fans.

- Sell various season ticket plans to businesses, organizations and individuals.

- Sell group outings and catered events to businesses, organizations and individuals.

- Sell merchandise and souvenirs to businesses, organizations and individuals.

- Maintain relationships/sales with existing clientele in all ticket sales categories to ensure long-term partnerships and upsell possibilities.

- Handle incoming inquiries regarding season ticket plans and group outing options.

- Disseminate season ticket, group and catering information to existing and potential clients.

- Follow up with the people who request and receive season ticket, group outing and food & beverage outing information.

- Collect deposits and final balances on outings and season ticket plans and follow the proper processes as they relate to the Box Office, accounting, CRM, etc.

- Interact with other staff members to help insure a positive and successful season.

- Set up meetings with potential season ticket holders and group leaders.

- Refer corporate sales opportunities to the Assistant General Manager – Corporate Partnerships.

- Perform other responsibilities and duties as assigned.

Working Conditions:

  1. Full time, year round.
  2. Off-season hours are typically 8+ hour days.  During season hours may range from 8 to 14 hours per day

Required Experience:

A Ticket Consultant should be self motivated.  It is necessary to have good people, planning and organizational skills.  There is daily interaction with current and potential clients.  He/she should be creative, driven and possess the ability to work with others and accept various tasks.  Ticket sales experience is recommended but not required.
