RESPONSIBILITIES: Sales of season tickets, mini-plans and group tickets. 

EXPERIENCE: Minimum one-year sales experience preferred

BACKGROUND:

  • The Bakersfield Condors are owned by the Edmonton Oilers of the National Hockey League

  • The Condors are members of the 21-team ECHL – America’s Premier AA Hockey League.  The Condors play in the Western Conference along with Anchorage, AK; Boise, ID; Ontario, CA; Salt Lake City, UT, and Stockton, CA.

  • The Condors play in the beautiful state-of-the-art Rabobank Arena, with a capacity of nearly 9,000, 27 luxury suites and center-hung video scoreboard. 

  • The organization has earned numerous awards and honors for community involvement, marketing, sales and game presentation; most recently at the league meetings the Condors netted 3 awards: 2013-14 ECHL Marketing Department of the Year, 2013 – 14 Ticket Executive of the Year, and 2013-14 Executive of the Year.

  • Average attendance is among the league leaders at approximately 5,000 fans per game.

COMPENSATION:   

  • $18,720.00 base plus 7-10% commission on season tickets & groups
  • Bonus package based on personal and organizational goals

  • Expected total = high $20’s, low 30’s first year with continued growth after that

Account Executive (Unpaid Internship) - Brampton Beast Hockey Club (Brampton, ON)

Organization Profile:
The Brampton Beast are the newest professional hockey team in Canada. After playing their inaugural season as a member of the Central Hockey League (CHL), the Beast are now members of the ECHL after the two AA leagues merged in early October, 2014. The Beast play their home games at the Powerade Centre located in Brampton, Ontario. The team is dedicated and devoted to serving the community while continuing to advance the sport of hockey by providing exciting sports entertainment for a growing fan base. Volunteer, internships, employment opportunities, player career development, youth programs, and small business partnerships are all aspects of the business that the Brampton Beast sustain.

Responsibilities:
The Brampton Beast Hockey Club is scouting for committed, energetic, and outgoing individuals with a passion for both sales/marketing and hockey.  The Sales & Marketing internship provides a learning experience for those looking to develop their knowledge and skills surrounding sports and events sales/marketing operations.

The Sales and Marketing Intern will be responsible for:

  • Assisting in the creation of Beast materials and content through graphic design
  • Assisting with website, events, logistics, and implementation of Beast campaigns
  • Maintaining internal databases and correspondence with Beast fans
  • Maintaining and expanding web-based marketing to increase brand awareness
  • Assisting in Beast merchandising and retail marketing
  • Researching sales leads and initiatives to develop programs for the Beast
  • Implementing flyer and print material
  • Gaining knowledge of the facility and the Beast organization
  • Assisting with set-up and tear-down of equipment and game entertainment needs
  • Performing all other responsibilities and duties as assigned 

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a Business, Marketing, Sport Management or related field of study (degree/diploma/certificate program)
  • Strong understanding of MS Office Applications
  • Previous experience with Adobe Creative Suite an asset
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects/tasks of varying complexities, meet deadlines and work well under pressure
  • Excellent organization and communication skills 
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines are essential for a fast-paced environment

Account Executive:

The Brampton Beast Hockey Club is scouting for a Full-time, Account Executive with sales experience to prospect and generate revenue through the sale of all ticket packages, while providing superior customer service to all customers of the organization. Qualified applicants should be well-organized, team players with the ability to handle multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment. Heavy telephone and in-person contact with the public requires excellent interpersonal communication skills.

  

Job Responsibilities:

      -   Responsible for generating the maximum revenue for the Brampton Beast through the sale of season, group, and partial ticket plans

      -   Proficient in all Brampton Beast product lines including season plans, partial plans, premium seating, group packages, and special events

      -   Full participation in extensive inbound/outbound call campaigns for the purpose of selling season, group, and partial tickets

      -   Responsible for managing and servicing assigned account bases with the intent to up sell and renew account bases on an annual basis

      -   Proficient in prospecting and creating new sales opportunities for the purpose of increasing revenue

      -   Responsible for networking with corporate and community groups for the purpose of selling applicable inventory

      -   Responsible for follow up phone campaigns involving team direct marketing campaigns

      -   Providing outstanding service to all incoming customer emails, phone calls, faxes, etc.

      -   Meet all pre-determined activity and sales goals by providing weekly sales reports to management

      -   Be present at community events that the team has a presence at

      -   Participate in game day operations and community involvement to assist in building the organization's brand

      -   Make a minimum of 60 outbound sales calls per day

      -   Other duties assigned by supervisors

  

Job Requirements:

      -   Post-Secondary Degree/Diploma (a focus in business and/or sport & event marketing preferred)

      -   Desire to develop a career in the sports/sales industry

      -   Previous ticket sales experience in the sports industry

Account Executive - Ontario Reign (Ontario, CA)

DESCRIPTION

The Ontario Reign is looking for an energetic, professional, and self-motivated person who is extremely proficient in selling and has a passion for sports and ticket sales. This career opportunity would consist of generating business relationships in order to gain revenue by selling full season tickets, partial season ticket plans, and group tickets for the Ontario Reign Hockey Club of the ECHL.

A core function of an Ontario Reign Account Executive is proactively and aggressively generating new revenue through outbound calls, personalized letters, customized emails, prompt responses to inbound calls, team-related events, upselling, cross-selling, and generating referrals.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

  • Generate revenue using all sales methods, including cold calls, face to face appointments, arena tours, prospecting, and networking
  • Manage accounts in order to exceed established sales goals
  • Conduct high amounts of new business calls on a daily basis
  • Aggressive prospecting in order to generate new business relationships
  • Conduct face to face sales presentations with prospects and potential customers
  • Provide prompt, thorough, and courteous responses to all inbound & outbound customer communication – phone calls, emails, mail, etc.

  • Motivated to start/continue career in professional sports
  • Familiarity with basic tenets of sales and customer service, sports industry specific a plus
  • Grooming – employee must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance. Good hygiene & professional appearance required. Business attire in office and during events required. Employees may be required to wear Reign attire (to be provided) when representing the Reign in public.

Ticket Sales & Service: Ticket Sales
Inside Sales Account Executive: - Stockton Thunder (Stockton, CA)

Thunder Inside Sales Account Executive will be the driving force for the teams mini plan and promo plan sales.  Inside Sales Account Executives will need to be positive, outgoing and able to deal with rejection.  We will teach you the ins and outs of our products and provide you with the tools and skills necessary to be successful in the world of sales.  What will make you successful in this position is your willingness to keep making calls.  The percentage of calls to sales for these is low, so you’ll increase your sales by increasing your call volume.  You will be asked to be on the phone the entire time you are here, looking to make anywhere between 50 to 60 calls an evening.  Minor league sports are an ever changing flow of front office staff, so with that there is room for growth within the organization. Currently, we are looking for Inside Sales people. The position will begin January 12, 2015 and last until at least the end of the regular season on April, 11 2015 and may include the playoffs as well.  This is a part-time position only and there is potential to work game nights.

Part-Time Position:

Days of the Week: Tue-Sat

Hours: Tue-Fri (4:00 PM to 8:00 PM) Sat (10:00 AM to 2:00 PM)*

Wage: Minimum Wage ($9.00 per hour + Commission on Sales)

* These days and times are subject to change*

Responsibilities:

- Work under the Ticket Services Manager and VP of Ticket Sales and Service

- Calling individual consumers, raffle entries, group attendees and online Thunder prospects looking to sale the full spread of ticket inventory and help us sell out the Stockton Arena for Thunder Games

- Will work a lot in our customer database system CSM (Contact and Sales Management System)

- Expected to make 50-60 calls a day minimum

- Minor Ticketmaster training and usage

- Possible data entry, filing or other office duties

- Occasional game day duties including helping with distribution of information, answering sales/team related questions, assisting with game day prep.

- Other sales department tasks as needed by the Ticket Service Manager or VP of Ticket Sales and Service.

Qualifications:

-Willingness to pick up the phone and make calls

 -Willingness to learn new programs (CSM & Ticketmaster)

-Positive attitude and ability to deal with rejection

-Must have great organization and time management skills

-Must be able to work in a team environment

-Ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision
