OBJECTIVE:
The Evansville IceMen seek a self-starter who will be responsible for generating revenue through outbound sales campaigns that focus on the sale of full, partial, mini-game ticket plans and group sales to businesses and individual customers.

The Account Executive will be responsible to:

•Generate new business through outbound sales calls, outside appointments, and building tours
•Prospect and research new business opportunities through cold calling, referrals, and networking events
•Cultivate new business and service existing clients and prospects
•Maintain a detailed customer database of all clients and prospects
•Set up face-to-face appointments with key decision makers of community and corporate groups
•Staff Evansville IceMen ticket sales tables for games and events plus outside functions including luncheons, business shows, conventions, festivals, etc.
•Meet and exceed weekly and monthly sales and productivity goals
•Work all home games to support ticket sales initiatives
•Perform all other duties as assigned by Director of Ticket Sales and Services

The ideal candidate will have:

•A Bachelor’s degree
•Previous internship or work experience within the sports ticket sales industry
•A passion for sales and creativity
•A strong work ethic and the desire to build a career in professional sports
•Ability to set goals and achieve objectives in a timely and efficient manner
•The ability to speak publicly on behalf of the Evansville IceMen
•Exceptional written and oral communication skills
•Strong multi-tasking and customer service skills and attention to detail
•The ability to work flexible hours including, but not limited to evenings, weekends and holidays

Ticket Sales & Service: Ticket Sales
Account Executive - Greenville Road Warriors (Greenville, SC)

General Statement of Duties: 

Sell a full menu of hospitality and ticket-based products for the primary ECHL affiliate of the New York Rangers. The Account Executive will perform the role of a primary revenue producer for the organization in the ticket sales department. The Road Warriors Account Executive will utilize a consultative selling approach to customize hospitality, business development and individual entertainment solutions focusing on suites, party suites, full season tickets, partial plans and group packages. The account executive will prospect, qualify, sell and service both individual and business accounts.
 

Primary Responsibilities:
 

  • Prospect and cultivate new sales leads through creative lead generation methods, as well as follow up on leads provided by the Road Warriors.
  • Consistently meet and exceed daily and weekly quotas for calls and appointments. (A minimum of 75+ calls per day and five + meetings per week is expected).
  • Meet or exceed established yearly revenue and ticket goals set for new business and renewals.
  • Prospect for new season ticket and suite business via phone conversations, face-to-face meetings/presentations and client needs analysis.
  • Manage obstacles and overcome objections that are presented during the sales process.
  • Entertain and nurture relationships with clients and prospects through creative means including but not limited to: networking events, speaking engagements, prospect sampling at games, seat visits at games, open houses at Bon Secours Wellness Arena and outside meetings.
  • Up-sell current partial plan holders to larger ticket packages.
  • Sell Road Warriors playoff packages and convert these leads into full season and partial plan customers for the next season.
  • Execute contracts, billing, and follow up on payment for clients.
  • Contact and close referrals from existing season ticket holders.
  • Successfully service your book of clients to maintain satisfaction and retention.
  • Enter all pertinent prospect and customer information in CRM platform for efficient reporting and historical data purposes.
  • Assist with answering incoming sales line during home and away games as needed; assist with call tracking for and reporting purposes.
  • Work all home games and special events.
  • Other duties assigned by senior staff.
     

Qualifications:
 

  •  Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Sports Management, Marketing or related field.
  • Interest in the sport of hockey is not required but encouraged.
  • Ability to work and collaborate as a part of a team.
  • Must be self-motivated with a desire to succeed.

  • Strong desire to “win” and thrive in a competitive environment.
  • Strong interpersonal & customer service skills a must.
  • Excellent communication skills including written and verbal; ability to present ideas clearly and concisely.

  • Being detail oriented following through on conversations and meetings is a must.
  • Dependability and reliability are musts.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work extended hours including nights, weekends, holidays.
  • Proficiency with all Microsoft Office software programs.
  • Ability to work all home games including but not limited to holidays and weekends

Ticket Sales & Service: Ticket Sales
Account Executive - Gwinnett Gladiators (Duluth, GA)

The Gwinnett Gladiators seek an energetic, hard working, and motivated sales associate to sell season tickets packages and group tickets via telemarketing, electronic mail and face-to-face presentations. This position will also service existing accounts, work all home games and cultivate relationships with their season ticket clientele. Create new ideas to increase ticket sales and retention, perform basic office functions as needed and be expected to attain goals of the ticket department each season. The candidate will report directly to the Vice President of Sales.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

* Responsible for generating revenue through full menu marketing ticket programs
* Sell full-seasons, partial plans, and group tickets
* Create and develop new business by regularly pitching new prospects through in-arena tours, external appointments, and phone prospecting
* Plan and coordinate group events
* Manage all personal accounts to provide the highest level of customer service throughout the season
* Working every home game
* Attend outside events with the purpose of selling ticket packages in conjunction with the community relations department


Education and/or Experience:


* Strength in time management, organization, and customer service skills
* Ability to communicate effectively with the public in a professional manner
* High energy; ability to remain focused on sales goals and work independently
* Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays
* Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications

Season Ticket and Group Sales Consultant - Toledo Walleye/Toledo Mud Hens (Toledo, OH)

Summary of Responsibilities:

A Season Ticket & Group Sales Consultant is directly involved with the sale of tickets.   He/she uses planning, organizational and people skills to prospect and achieve season ticket, group ticket, individual ticket and catering sales goals as established by the Assistant General Manager - Ticket Sales & Operations and the Director of Ticket Sales.

Functions:

- Reach personal sales goals as established by the Assistant GM and Director of Ticket Sales.

- Plan, organize and manage personal sales goals and help the ticket department achieve its goals.

- Make outgoing calls and contacts in order to generate new sales and attract new companies/fans.

- Sell various season ticket plans to businesses, organizations and individuals.

- Sell group outings and catered events to businesses, organizations and individuals.

- Sell merchandise and souvenirs to businesses, organizations and individuals.

- Maintain relationships/sales with existing clientele in all ticket sales categories to ensure long-term partnerships and upsell possibilities.

- Handle incoming inquiries regarding season ticket plans and group outing options.

- Disseminate season ticket, group and catering information to existing and potential clients.

- Follow up with the people who request and receive season ticket, group outing and food & beverage outing information.

- Collect deposits and final balances on outings and season ticket plans and follow the proper processes as they relate to the Box Office, accounting, CRM, etc.

- Interact with other staff members to help insure a positive and successful season.

- Set up meetings with potential season ticket holders and group leaders.

- Refer corporate sales opportunities to the Assistant General Manager – Corporate Partnerships.

- Perform other responsibilities and duties as assigned.

Working Conditions:

  1. Full time, year round.
  2. Off-season hours are typically 8+ hour days.  During season hours may range from 8 to 14 hours per day

Required Experience:

A Ticket Consultant should be self motivated.  It is necessary to have good people, planning and organizational skills.  There is daily interaction with current and potential clients.  He/she should be creative, driven and possess the ability to work with others and accept various tasks.  Ticket sales experience is recommended but not required.
