Account Manager - Bakersfield Condors (Bakersfield, CA)

START DATE: Immediate                     

OVERVIEW: Excellent ground floor opportunity with good potential for professional growth and advancement. Training and support materials provided. 

RESPONSIBILITIES: Sales of season tickets, mini-plans and group tickets. 

EXPERIENCE: Minimum one-year sales experience preferred

SKILLS:

BACKGROUND:

  • The Bakersfield Condors are owned by the Edmonton Oilers of the National Hockey League

  • The Condors are members of the 21-team ECHL – America’s Premier AA Hockey League.  The Condors play in the Western Conference along with Anchorage, AK; Boise, ID; Ontario, CA; Salt Lake City, UT, and Stockton, CA.

  • The Condors play in the beautiful state-of-the-art Rabobank Arena, with a capacity of nearly 9,000, 27 luxury suites and center-hung video scoreboard. 

  • The organization has earned numerous awards and honors for community involvement, marketing, sales and game presentation; most recently at the league meetings the Condors netted 3 awards: 2013-14 ECHL Marketing Department of the Year, 2013 – 14 Ticket Executive of the Year, and 2013-14 Executive of the Year.

  • Average attendance is among the league leaders at approximately 5,000 fans per game.

COMPENSATION:   

  • $18,720.00 base plus 7-10% commission on season tickets & groups
  • Bonus package based on personal and organizational goals

  • Expected total = high $20’s, low 30’s first year with continued growth after that

Ticket Sales & Service: Ticket Sales
Account Executive - Stockton Thunder (Stockton, CA)

The successful candidate will be fully trained in consultative selling (i.e., needs satisfaction model) and will have the opportunity to sell all Stockton Thunder ticketing products, including annual suite licenses, single game suite rentals, club seats, full and partial season tickets and groups. This is an exciting opportunity to work with one of the premier ECHL franchises in a role that is critical to the continued success of the organization.

DUTIES:
• Responsible for the direct solicitation of ticketing products to both corporate and consumer accounts.
• Sell and service new and existing ticketing accounts.
• Aggressively develop and expand relationships with clients and organizations through cold calling, networking, and outside appointments.
• Assist with client customer service, database development and game presentation.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Reports to the Vice President, Ticket Sales.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Previous ticket sales experience with a professional sports organization.  Business-to-business sales preferred.
• Passion for sales and specifically a desire to share your passion about Thunder hockey with those you speak with in person or over the phone.
• Must demonstrate a high degree of time management, attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft products and experience with contact management software.
• Energy, a positive, professional attitude and ability to learn quickly.
• Must be willing to work long hours year round.
• Excellent verbal and written skills.
• Must be a self-starter and team player.

Theme Night Consultant - Toledo Walleye Hockey Club and Toledo Mud Hens Baseball Club (Toledo, OH)

Summary of Responsibilities:

A Theme Night Consultant is directly involved with the sale of tickets.   He/she uses planning, organizational and people skills to prospect and reach group ticket and food & beverage sales goals as established by the Assistant General Manager - Ticket Sales & Operations and the Director of Ticket Sales. He/she is responsible for creating promotional ideas and theme nights that contribute to the sales goals.

Functions:

- Reach personal sales goals as established by the Assistant GM and Director of Ticket Sales.

- Plan, organize and manage personal sales goals and help the ticket department achieve its goals.

- Make outgoing calls and contacts in order to generate new sales and attract new companies/fans.

- Sell group outings and catered events to businesses, organizations and individuals.

- Work with the Box Office and the Promotions Department to ensure the execution of the Marketing Plans for each individual Theme Night or Event.

- Sell merchandise and souvenirs to businesses, organizations and individuals.

- Maintain relationships/sales with existing clientele in all ticket sales categories to ensure long-term partnerships and upsell possibilities.

- Handle incoming inquiries regarding group outing and theme night ticket options.

- Create marketing plans for the assigned theme nights he/she is responsible for.

- Follow up with the people who request and receive, group outing and food & beverage outing information.

- Collect deposits and final balances on outings and season ticket plans and follow the proper processes as they relate to the Box Office, accounting, CRM, etc.

- Interact with other staff members to help insure a positive and successful season.

- Set up meetings with group leaders.

- Refer corporate sales opportunities to the Assistant General Manager – Corporate Partnerships.

- Perform other responsibilities and duties as assigned.

 

Working Conditions:

  1. Full time, year round.
  2. Off-season hours are typically 8+ hour days.  During season hours may range from 8 to 14 hours per day

 

Required Experience:

A Theme Night Consultant should be self motivated.  It is necessary to have good people, planning and organizational skills.  There is daily interaction with current and potential clients.  He/she should be creative, driven and possess the ability to work with others and accept various tasks.  Ticket sales experience is recommended.
