Job Responsibilities:
&amp;bull;	Responsible for all player transactions &amp;ndash; Trades, Recalls/Assignments, Waivers, Injured Reserve etc.
&amp;bull;	Responsible for daily monitoring of the League Salary Cap
&amp;bull;	Reviews and approves all Standard Player Contracts
&amp;bull;	Responsible for monitoring and compliance of player immigration status
&amp;bull;	Acts as a liaison with AHL Hockey Operations Department

&amp;bull;	Responsible for compiling the yearly Playing Manual for distribution to team personnel
&amp;bull;	Maintains daily communication with coaches to ensure compliance of rules and regulations

&amp;bull;	Responsible for tracking automatic player fines
&amp;bull;	Coordinates printing of contracts, rule books and all League forms

Assist the ECHL Communications Department with the daily dealings with print and broadcast media who cover the league and its teams.
The duties include, but are not limited to the following:

    Preparation of league publications including press releases and media guides
    Research of records

Applicants must possess strong written and verbal communication skills with a background in journalism being an advantage.
Applicants should have working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel and the ability to use Quark and Photoshop is a plus.
The position requires a minimum of 10 hours per week. Flexible work schedule, but work time must be scheduled between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
This is a non-paid position.

This internship is open to 10 Interns per semester during the 2009-2010 Stingrays Season. First consideration will be given to undergraduates with an overall GPA of 2.8 and a major GPA of 3.0.

Assist with the preparation of game day including set up and tear down of marketing and informational tools. This program is designed to be challenging, rewarding and insightful and a great stepping stone to a career in professional athletics.

Some of the duties that will be performed include helping with promotions both in the crowd and on the ice, interacting with the crowd, working with the mascot and also helping with pre-game and post-game concourse interactions.
